More filter dimensions for cost rules

The filters behind your cost rules just got more specific. You can now filter by region, charge category, usage type, cost category, and operation, on top of what was already supported, so allocation rules and cost views can be built around the exact slice of spend you care about, not just broad categories.

A finance team can now line up allocation rules with the categories already used in the general ledger, isolating something like cross-region data transfer or a specific support charge and charging it back to the team whose usage is actually driving it. Instead of a shared cost sitting in one generic line nobody in finance can attribute, it gets split out and assigned properly, so the numbers in Optimaze match the categories finance is already reporting on elsewhere.

Filter individual widgets in your dashboards

Not every widget on a dashboard needs to show the same slice of spend. You can now set a filter on an individual widget, starting with billing data, so one dashboard can show, for example, EC2 costs in one panel and S3 costs in another, without needing separate dashboards for each view.

A finance team preparing a monthly cost review for leadership can build one dashboard with a widget for each major cost category side by side, compute in one panel, storage in another, instead of maintaining three separate dashboards and stitching the story together by hand before the meeting. A spike in one category shows up clearly rather than getting smoothed into a blended total, so finance walks into the review with the answer already on the screen.
